| Bamanwada Centre Fire, 3rd Oct 2008 |
Sad
event at Ashadeep Bamanwada Centre:
On 3rd Oct 2008, early morning at 2.20 a.m. fire broke out in
our Bamanwada Centre. Most of the things like the window slides and Grills, doors,
black stone shelves, cup boards, refrigetaors, tables, chairs, etc were blown out. Fortunately
there was no casualty, as no one was there inside the centre. Out of 105 children
of the centre, 40 kindergarten children are given holiday and others are temporarily kept in other centres.
We
appeal to all our friends and well wishers to help us to renovate the Bamanwada centre in which ever way it is possible, so
that we can soon continue with our activities for the poor and needy children.
Ashadeep Association is a charitable organisation, registered under the Mumbai Public
Trust Act, 1950 with the charity commissioner, Mumbai, India. Trust Redg. No F / 5916.
Aims and Objectives of Ashadeep:
— The main concern of our association is to bring a Ray of Hope to the
fathers or mothers left to bring up children on their own.
— Our efforts are geared towards keeping the families viable and retaining
their dignity.
— We want to prevent hunger and despair turning the children into beggars
or driving them to a life of crime & drug.
— We help the children with food, education and clothing, without separating
them from the environment they are used to.
— It is our hope that these young people will eventually help to eradicate
poverty and misery in their surroundings.
